The 2024 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards are currently in full swing, and young fans have already seen some of their favorites take home the iconic orange blimps. A few famous faces popped in during the ceremony to promote their highly-anticipated projects, including the cast of Transformers One. Chris Hemsworth, Keegan-Michael Key, and Brian Tyree Henry came together to share a clip from the first fully-animated Transformers movie in nearly 40 years. The movie recently got a standing ovation at the Annecy Film Festival and fans are excited to learn more at the movie's upcoming San Diego Comic-Con panel.

"Hello, Kids' Choice Awards," Hemsworth begins. "Greetings from the cast of Transformers One," Key adds. "Before we roll out our never-before-seen look at the movie," Henry chimed in. "We wanna give a special shoutout to the greatest yellow superhero of all time," Hemsworth continues. Key and Henry assume Hemsworth is going to say Bumblebee, but the Marvel star ends up saying Nickelodeon icon, Spongebob Squarepants. What Is Transformers One About?

Set on Cybertron, Transformers One is the untold origin story of a young Optimus Prime and Megatron. Before they transformed into sworn enemies as the leaders of warring robot factions -- the Autobots and Decepticons -- they were brothers-in-arms Orion Pax (Hemsworth) and D-16 (Henry), who changed the fate of their planet forever. While working waste management in the bowels of Cybertron, Orion and D-16 meet workers B-127 (Key), a.k.a. Bumblebee, and Ariel (Scarlett Johansson), a.k.a. Elita-1, before embarking on a dangerous journey to the planet's surface world.

The star-studded voice cast includes Jon Hamm (Mad Men) as Sentinel Prime, Steve Buscemi (Transformers: The Last Knight) in an undisclosed villain role, and Laurence Fisburne (The Matrix) as Alpha Trion -- sworn protector of Vector Sigma, the mega-computer at the heart of Cybertron -- who unlocks the Transformers' full potential, giving the 'bots the ability to transform. The new movie comes from Paramount Animation (The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run), Hasbro Entertainment (Transformers: EarthSpark), and New Republic Pictures (The Tiger's Apprentice).

"We did our take on the origin, which is still staying true to the lore of Transformers," director Josh Cooley told ComicBook of the first-ever CG-animated Transformers movie, adding that Optimus Prime's origin story is "something we've never seen before on screen." "I wouldn't say that this is a direct prequel to anything that's been done with live-action ones," the director added. "But it's definitely its own story as well."

Transformers One opens only in theaters on September 20th.

When Bayley joined WWE she quickly rose to popularity with her "Hugger" gimmick that became beloved amongst the fans. The special connection that she had with audiences earned her a spot on the main roster with her other fellow four horsewomen Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. The four women changed the landscape of women's wrestling forever. While the other three women had gone through immense character development, Bayley found herself in need of a complete character change. That's why in 2019 on an episode of SmackDown she slashed the inflatables and officially began her heel turn which shocked fans. She has continued to work heel over the years until this year when Damage CTRL attacked her in the lead up to WrestleMania 40, effectively turning her face.

On the What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Bayley, now Women's Champion, discussed several topics about their careers, including Bayley's unforgettable heel turn. Bayley revealed that the idea to turn was actually her idea, as she believed she was at a crossroads in her career. She wanted to try different things and felt like it was as good of a time as ever to see if it would stick.

"Yes, I was more so nervous because I thought, what if it didn't work? But, I was also in that spot where that character, the fan favorite bubbly baby face wasn't working either. So it was kind of like I was at a crossroads of, if I never try this then i'll never know. I always, as a fan, wanted to do everything. I wanna be a good guy, I wanna be a bad guy, I wanna be in a love story, I wanna do the craziest things cause I want all of that experience. I was a little nervous when I first started because I thought I would get a lot of female Cena comments, which is the best compliment I could ever get in that character, but I also was like, I wanna try different things.

So, turning to a bad guy was my decision because I felt that I was going nowhere and the fact that they actually wanted to go with it, it was perfect timing. I cut my hair off and had to go in to see if it was okay. They cut off my whole gimmick and luckily they approved of it and liked it. I just think that is really when, I mean, I had so much fun with that character but being able to embrace myself and my own personality in a real way -- and I always try to connect who I really am with my character and it just felt like I was growing as a person inside. Being able to share that with the audience, it just felt like the right time and it was scary, but I think that's what made it good" (h/t: Fightful).

Bayley is the current WWE Women's Champion, having won the Royal Rumble and defeated IYO SKY at WrestleMania. She will face her biggest challenge in this reign -- Nia Jax -- at SummerSlam in Cleveland in just a few weeks time. Jax won this year's Queen of the Ring which included a title shot at the event. The only problem is Tiffany Stratton is currently holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, which means she can cash in any time. If she chooses to pull a similar scenario to IYO, she could cash in at SummerSlam and make it a triple threat, though it seems like that's unlikely and her story will continue for awhile longer. Besides, she hasn't even gotten a chance to bling out her briefcase!

The second season of House of the Dragon is currently in full swing on HBO, and the prequel series follows the Targaryen reign nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin has always been open about his feelings towards the adaptations of his works and recently praised House of the Dragon's second season. However, there is one thing about the series and its predecessor that he's not too happy with. In a recent blog post, the author revealed he doesn't care for the way the Targaryen sigil is depicted in the series.

Martin originally designed the Targaryen sigil as a dragon with three heads, two legs, and two wings. When Game of Thrones first started, it followed Martin's design for the house's sigil. However, it was changed along the way and House of the Dragon continues to use the second design, which features four legs.

"No animal that has ever lived on Earth has six limbs," Martin wrote. "For what it's worth, the shows got it half right," Martin added. "Someone got sloppy, I guess. Or someone opened a book on heraldry, and read just enough of it to muck it all up. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing," he added, referring to the show's fifth season changing when Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) fleet finally headed towards Westeros.

"Much of the confusion about the proper number of legs on a dragon has its roots in medieval heraldry," Martin wrote. "In the beginning both versions could be seen on shields and banners, but over the centuries, as heraldry became more standardized, the heralds took to calling the four-legged beasties dragons and their two-legged kin wyverns. No one had ever seen a dragon or a wyvern, of course; neither creature actually existed save in legend, so there was a certain arbitrary quality to this distinction... and medieval heralds were not exactly renowned for their grasp of zoology, even for real world animals. Just take a look at what they thought a seahorse looked like."

"Dragons DO exist in the world of Westeros, however (wyverns too, down in Sothoryos), so my own heralds did not have that excuse. Ergo, in my books, the Targaryen sigil has two legs, as it should," he explained. "Why would any Westerosi ever put four legs on a dragon, when they could look at the real thing and could their limbs? My wyverns have two legs as well; they differ from the dragons of my world chiefly in size, coloration, and the inability to breath fire. (It should be stressed that while the Targaryen sigil has the proper number of legs (two), it is not exactly anatomically correct. The wings are way too small compared to the body, and of course no dragon has three heads. That bit is purely symbolic, meant to reflect Aegon the Conqueror and his two sisters)."

What Is House of the Dragon About?

Based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood book, House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. In Season 2 of House of the Dragon, Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. New episodes of House of the Dragon premiere every Sunday on HBO at 9 p.m. ET.

House of the Dragon's fifth episode of Season 2 drops on HBO on July 14th.

Dragon Ball has introduced some of the wildest villains through its run over the decades, and now Super Buu has come to life with a viral cosplay imagining a realistic spin! Dragon Ball is now in the midst of celebrating the manga's 40th anniversary of hitting the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and it's hard to deny that the late series creator Akira Toriyama had gone on to craft some of the biggest heroes and villains through the series' tenure. Some of these villains were more frightening than others, and that's especially true for Majin Buu.

Buu took on a whole new level of danger when he became Super Buu, and the monstrous evil took over and went on to form the final saga for the original run of the series overall. Now Super Buu's come to life in a rather horrifying way through a viral cosplay from artist buureal on Instagram, who has brought the villain to our world with a realistic accuracy. What's Next for Dragon Ball?

Dragon Ball is coming back in a big way later this year with Dragon Ball Daima, a brand new anime series currently set to release some time later this Fall to help celebrate the franchise's 40th anniversary. It has yet to confirm a concrete release date as of the time of this publication, but the late Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama helped to craft the original main story and character designs for Dragon Ball Daima. Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki are directing the series for Toei Animation, Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is adapting Toriyama's designs for animation, and Yuuko Kakihara is supervising and writing the scripts.

Masako Nozawa is returning to the anime to once again provide the voice for Kid Goku, and she is currently the only confirmed member of Dragon Ball Daima's voice cast announced so far. Akira Toriyama previously teased the original story for Dragon Ball Daima as such before his passing, "Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. In order to fix things, they'll head off to a new world! It's a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world. Since Goku has to make up for his petite size, he uses his Power Pole to fight, something not seen in a long time."

The Immortal Iron Fist may soon be immortal no more. Danny Rand first appeared in the pages of Marvel Premiere #15 in 1974, and he'll soon receive a hearty celebration in the form of Iron Fist 50th Anniversary Special #1. Though such an occasion would typically call for a jubilee, the House of Ideas is teasing a "tragic turn" for the Protector of K'un-Lun. With the oversized one-shot featuring stories from every point in time, the publisher notes it Danny Rand's that will be most tragic. What that tragic turn has yet to be seen, other than the fact it will appear in one of the comic's five stories.

"Ever since I saw Danny Rand in those green and yellows, I was a fan--not just because we shared a name, but because that look was so iconic!" Marvel editor Danny Khazem shared of the anniversary issue. "So to be able to work on this issue with all of these talented creators is a huge honor and pleasure. Danny's story has spanned five decades, but the legacy of the Iron Fist spans MILLIONS of years! And this issue dares to be the next step in not only the future of Danny Rand, but the future of the entire Iron Fist lore! Strap in as this is just the beginning!"

Is Finn Jones returning as Iron Fist?

With some actors returning to their Marvel roles in the MCU, namely Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, it has yet to be seen if Iron Fist star Finn Jones will be one of those who receive a callback. When we spoke with the actor in 2022, he told ComicBook he'd love to play the Sworn Enemy of the Hand once more.

"I would love to continue playing that character. I think there's a lot of room for growth. Personally, where I would like to see the reintroduction of the character would be something like a Heroes for Hire TV series," Jones said at the time. " I think that would be the most dynamic and fun way to reintroduce those characters. I loved working with Mike and I loved the on-screen chemistry between Danny and Luke. I think it's a really interesting creative place that show can be taken in. I'd love to pick up that mantle again and keep moving this character forward and make the best possible Iron Fist there could be."

Both seasons of Iron Fist are now streaming on Disney+.

Look Back is now working its way through the theaters in Japan, and the creator behind it all has shared their first review for the new movie! Tatsuki Fujimoto took a break from the newest chapters of Chainsaw Man to share a few new one-shots telling all kinds of new stories. The first of these one-shots, Look Back, ended up being such a hit with Shueisha that now it's gotten a full anime feature film debut. While the film has yet to reveal a release date for territories outside of Japan, Fujimoto himself finally shared his thoughts about seeing it in motion.

"There is an expression like 'the characters come to life,' and it is so true, I felt as if I was watching the world in which Fujino and Kyomoto were living through the camera," Fujimoto stated (as translated @Chainsawpedia on X) The drawings and voice actors' performances were so natural and wonderful that I felt as if I watching the world in which Fujino and Kyomoto live."

How to Watch Look Back

"I cried because I thought that I would never be able to have my work made with such sincerity again in my life," Fujimoto's statement continued. "There were so many surprises and discoveries in the 58 minutes and that it is impossible to pick one by one and praise them all. A lot people were involved and it turned out really great, so I want to thank all of them. Thank you so much!"

Featuring an original story from Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, Look Back's original one-shot story first debuted with Shueisha in 2021, and is now licensed for an English language release by Viz Media. You can find the physical release on shelves, and the digital release with the Shonen Jump app or Shueisha's MangaPlus service. The feature film adaptation is written, directed, and with character designs provided by Kiyotaka Oshiyama for Studio Durian but does currently no have a release date for the United States as of the time of this publication.

Music for Look Back is composed by Haruka Nakamura, who also performs the theme song for the film, "Light song" together with singer urara. Yumi Kawai and Mizuki Yoshida are headlining the cast as the two main leads, Fujino and Kyomoto respectively. With a run time of one hour and two minutes, Avex Pictures teases what to expect from Look Back as such:

"Fujino, a fourth-grade student, serializes a four-panel manga in the school newspaper. Her classmates praise her work, but one day, her teacher tells her that they want to publish a four-panel manga by Kyomoto, a classmate who doesn't attend school. The connection between the two girls is their earnest passion for manga. However, one day, an event shatters everything... A gripping and breathtaking coming-of-age story begins."

It's been six years since American Vandal, the popular documentary satire series, was canceled by Netflix. The show was loved by critics and audiences alike and currently stands on Rotten Tomatoes with a 98% critics score and 91% audience score after two seasons. "American Vandal will not return for a third season," Netflix said in a statement when the cancellation was announced. "We're very grateful to the creators, writers, cast, and crew for bringing their innovative comedy to Netflix, and to the fans and critics who embraced its unique and unconventional humor." Now, it looks like the show has a chance at a second life.

According to Deadline, the rights to the first batch of original series CBS Studios produced for Netflix have reverted back to the studio. CBS Studios President David Stapf David Stapf spoke to Deadline about "streamers' growing appetite for broadcast-style procedurals," and teased that something could eventually be in the works involving American Vandal.

"We're exploring that, we loved that show and that title," Stapf shared. "There's nothing imminent, but we hope to bring it back in some fashion at some point."

American Vandal Creators Address Cancellation:

Back in 2022, Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault spoke with ComingSoon and opened up about the cancelation of American Vandal.

"I think it's a bummer to have something you love canceled, but we also are so grateful for the opportunity," Yacenda said. "If you describe the premise of that show to anyone, it's crazy that somebody let us make that show in the first place. So I think there were a lot of external market forces that made it possible for that show to be made in 2016. And by 2018, the streaming market was very much changing. But I don't think we could complain about the latter without being very grateful for the former."

"Tony and I had worked for years before Vandal, but that, in a way, really felt like another step for us in learning how best to work with each other," Perrault added. "And I think a lot of the toolkit we used on Players comes directly from our experience with Vandal. We're super grateful to Netflix and everyone who gave us that opportunity."

"I echo what Tony said in that I think we were very lucky to have sold that and to have been able to do that when we did," Perrault continued. "The show also kicked my ass because it was hard. Both of these mockumentaries are not the easiest to make between the gameplay and different elements of Players and then also creating these complex social media worlds of these fictional characters. But I couldn't be more grateful that we got the opportunity. And I think one thing that I'm grateful for in addition to that is that each season is self-contained. It's not in the nature of American Vandal to ever end on a cliffhanger, but thank God we didn't."

AEW star Will Ospreay has released a documentary that goes over his final days as a top star in New Japan Pro Wrestling and on the independent scene, specifically his final match in RevPro. The documentary also dives into Ospreay's double life in Japan, and how appreciative he is of the culture and people. Ospreay joined AEW earlier this year following his departure from Japan, as his final match was in February. His first match as an official AEW roster member took place at AEW Revolution in March, the same show that Sting had his last match. He faced Konosuke Takeshita and many believed it to be a show stealer.

"I had this documentary filmed of my last matches in New Japan & Revolution Pro. To really show how much both companies really played a huge part in me maturing into a man," Ospreay wrote on X. "Beyond grateful for everything that they both gave me & I miss them so much. Big thank you to @markashleyfilms for capturing and editing this, hope you all enjoy."

Since Ospreay took the leap of faith to come to the United States, he's become one of AEW's fastest rising stars. He captured his first championship in the company in May at Double or Nothing and has been involved in the picture for AEW's top prize, the AEW World Championship. Heading into August, Ospreay will head home to England for the first time since his final RevPro show which AEW President Tony Khan attended. There is a high probability that if AEW does in fact sign former WWE star Ricochet to a contract, given their history, he could be Ospreay's opponent for AEW All In.

"I don't know how much longer he has got in his contract, but I think it might be up soon, man, I don't know. I want him to know that there are people here that genuinely appreciate his work and I want to wrestle him again. I want him back here," Ospreay recently told Comicbook. "I want him to know that there isn't a bar. You are the f--king bar."

Before he does that, though, he will go up against former AEW World Champion MJF next week and they have thrown more than a few shots at each other in the lead up to the match. MJF referred to the champion as a "talentless hack" prompting the "Aerial Assassin" to respond on live television. Fans are used to Ospreay delivering extremely fiery promos but ended up disappointed by his execution on Dynamite. He responded to fans apologizing for his mistake and letting them know he'd do better next time.

Solar Opposites is finally coming back for Season 5 of the animated series later this Summer, and Hulu has shared a new poster to help celebrate! Solar Opposites made some big changes ahead of Season 4 following Hulu cutting ties with former co-creator and voice of Korvo, Justin Roiland, and the season itself followed through even further with some bigger changes to the actual status quo. It's made the wait for the new episodes even tougher as fans wait to see how many of those changes from the Season 4 cliffhanger actually stick. Thankfully, the wait won't be for too much longer.

It's been fairly quiet as for what fans can expect to see from the next season of Solar Opposites, and Season 5 thankfully will be making its return to Hulu beginning on August 12th. To help celebrate the upcoming premiere of the new episodes, Solar Opposites has confirmed its release date with a special poster for the season featuring the core members of its makeshift family. You can check out the first look at Solar Opposites Season 5 below.

What to Know Solar Opposites

Solar Opposites Season 5 will be making its debut on August 12th with Hulu, but has yet to confirm how many episodes it will be sticking around for. Dan Stevens took over from Justin Roiland as the voice of Korvo for Solar Opposites Season 4, and will be returning for Season 5 of the series along with Thomas Middleditch as Terry, Sean Giambrone as Yumyulack, and Mary Mack as Jesse all returning for their respective roles.

As for what went down in the newest season of the series, Hulu teases Solar Opposites Season 4 as such, "On season four of Solar Opposites, we pack up the sci-fi and get normal... for a second. Then it's back to classic Solar chaos, mayhem in the Wall, and some all new Silvercops adventures!" You can also check out the first three seasons and holiday specials with Hulu as well.

Solar Opposites producer Sydney Ryan spoke to ComicBook about getting Dan Stevens as the new voice of Korvo, "We didn't want to match the previous voice and felt like it would come across like we were doing a cover song," Ryan stated. "Solar is a show where wild stuff can happen, and since the aliens already have ray guns that can do all sorts of things, we thought it would be funny to use this in-show method to explain the voice change. Even with a big shift, we still wanted to preserve the humor and emotional aspects that we've built for Korvo over the years. We worked with our casting team, listened to a ton of auditions, and met with some incredible actors."

True Detective: Night Country is out on home video now and fans who love the series are trying to unite all the seasons under one roof. (The Blu-Ray release of Season 4 of the popular HBO series presents a chance to get the show in the best clarity possible with all of the extras.) For the initiated, True Detective: Night Country stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis as Alaskan detectives charged with solving the disappearance of eight scientists. Other characters circle the truth and play a role in unwinding this mystery. The Blu-ray retails for $29.98 here in the United States and the DVD is on sale for $24.98. As it stands, this release might only be for the most devoted True Detective fans. But, there is one factor that could sway that assessment,

First of all, show runner, Issa L?pez decided to completely reinvigorate the true detective series with a holy unique entry. The show runner handles directing duties on the first episode and offers more intrigue in this bonus features on this disk in the new chapter section of the release, Lopez goes into detail describing night countries, unique role of the series. Needless to say, there's something strange going on up there in Alaska and it links to the previous iterations of this show in surprising ways.

But, maybe more importantly, the release has a featurette on how's that locale powers this story. Lopez and the rest of the creative team made sure that Alaska's hostile environment feels like another character in the fray. The same way a lot of the great True Detective destinations have been in the past. In addition, this is a release of a beloved streaming show on home video and that's been far from a sure thing in recent years. It's probably worth kicking the tires on Night Country on the strength of that fact alone.

What Is True Detective Night Country?

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment describes this season of the show: "When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice."

How Good Is True Detective Night Country?

Being a long-running series on HBO, the question really becomes: do you think True Detective is good? One part of the equation that might sway folks that are on the fence is how True Detective: Night Country plays with the established lore of the previous entries. ComicBook's Patrick Cavanaugh argues that this season of the show ended up being a shot in the arm it sorely needed. For that reason, it's worth a shot for people with a passing interest.

"True Detective fans who felt disappointed by the previous two seasons will appreciate the overall premise of Night Country and its more straightforward investigation into a gruesome crime, which is anchored by talented performers bringing to life tremendously flawed figures who still feel compelled to do what's right," Cavanaugh said. "Those fans who felt mostly drawn to the implication of supernatural forces in Season 1 will also feel satisfied by how Night Country leans even further into those elements, cementing this story firmly in the world of horror."

"Luckily, the horrors of the series won't entirely turn off all audiences, as fans of films like Wind River, Hold the Dark, and Insomnia will also be engaged by the frozen foray into a small-town murder. Night Country proves there can still be life in the True Detective brand, so long as HBO continues to empower ambitious storytellers like L?pez, while also showcasing that a gripping adventure is comprised of far more than just a recognizable title," he adds. "Whether Night Country would have been better as a standalone series or not will never be known, but after waiting nearly a decade, longtime True Detective fans will be pleased to see that this new season is the best the franchise has been since we first learned that time was a flat circle."

So, if you're a True Detective sicko or a relative newcomer, there's a lot to like when it comes to the newest release of HBO's long-running series. True Detective: Night Country is available on home video and digital right now.

Yusuke Murata, artist behind series such as One-Punch Man, Eyeshield 21 and more, has shared some special new art paying tribute to Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto! Murata might currently be more celebrated with his work on series such as One-Punch Man, but the artist already made waves with Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine many years ago with Eyeshield 21. Teaming up with Riichiro Inagaki (who is now better known for creating Dr. Stone), the two went on to craft an American football manga series that went on for a lengthy run and anime adaptation at the peak of its success.

Eyeshield 21 ran with Weekly Shonen Jump magazine back in 2002, and this year it's actually celebrating its 21st anniversary. Launching with a special artbook in Japan, it's been revealed that a lot of the art comes from Murata himself as he pays tribute to many of the other major Shonen hits and creators who are wishing Eyeshield 21 a well anniversary. The latest sketch highlights his take on Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto, and you can check out Murata's take on the famous ninja below.

Where to Find Eyeshield 21

Originally written by Riichiro Inagaki (who went on to create Dr. Stone) with art from Yusuke Murata (the artist behind One-Punch Man), Eyeshield 21 is a little tough to check out the manga's run. There are physical volumes of the manga currently available on shelves as licensed by Viz Media, but there's currently no way to legally catch up with it online. Thankfully, you can still check out Eyeshield 21's anime adaptation now streaming with Crunchyroll.

The first volume of the Eyeshield 21 manga is teased as such, "What does a wimpy kid who's been bullied all his life have to depend on but his own two feet? Sena Kobayakawa is about to start his first year in high school and he's vowed not to get picked on anymore. Unfortunately, the sadistic captain of the football team already has his eye on Sena and his lightning-fast speed."

As for One-Punch Man, Season 3 of the anime is now in the works, but has yet to announce a release window or date as of the time of this publication for the new episodes. J.C. Staff will be returning from Season 2 to handle the animation production with Chikashi Kubota returning to design the characters together with Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryosuka Shirakawa, Tomohiro Suzuki will be handling series composition, and Makoto Miyazaki will be composing the music.

Spin Master and CMON are finally inviting fans to jump into the world of DC Super Heroes United, which is now live on Gamefound and has absolutely crushed its initial $200,000 goal. The project is now sitting at over $770,500 and still has 18 days left, and as of now already features not just the core game but also a new Teen Titans expansion and a Gamefound campaign exclusive set of playable heroes. Those heroes are none other than the Wonder Twins and their adorable super monkey Gleek, which will come with any pledge alongside all of the unlocked stretch goals, and more stretch goals are presumably on the way. As for expansions, the Titans expansion is already up for order, but in past campaigns, we've seen multiple expansions released, so we'll have to wait and see if DC Super Heroes United follows suit.

Teen Titans Expansion

DC Super Heroes United currently has one expansion you can add to the core set, which is the Teen Titans expansion that is exclusive to the Gamefound campaign. Teen Titans features four heroes to play as, including Robin (Dick Grayson), Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy. You will get two equipment cards to use, which are Robin's Batarang and Escrima Sticks, as well as eight Animal Form cards for Beast Boy's various transformations.

You'll need villains to battle of course, and the expansion comes with two of the Titans' greatest villains in Deathstroke and Trigon. Deathstroke will focus on deadly assassination techniques throughout his turns, and he will get a head start as well, as he gets to take two turns back to back at the beginning of the game. Then there's Trigon, who stands at 14 centimeters tall and can spawn in any game, tasking the Titans with having to banish him from this world.

Core Set and Stretch Goals

The core set features Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman, and they will face villains that include Joker, Darkseid, Cheetah, and Lex Luthor. Each villain plays completely differently and will necessitate players to change their strategies as they work together to take them down. Meanwhile, the heroes will also play quite differently and will require players to take advantage of their heroes' unique abilities and work together to save civilians, defeat henchmen, deal with threats, and ultimately attack and defeat the boss to win the game.

In addition to the core box characters, the campaign has already moved through a host of stretch goals, unlocking even more heroes and villains to add to your DC Super Heroes United experience. So far the campaign has unlocked Wildcat, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Mega, Red Tornado, Black Lightning, Martian Manhunter, and Vixen as playable heroes. On the villains' side the campaign has unlocked Black Mask, Black Manta, Parasite, Gorilla Grodd, Despero, and Steppenwolf. Other stretch goals unlocked include Complications Challenge cards and New Super Hero and Super-Villain cards, and the next stretch goal up to bat is Ra's al Gaul, who will unlock soon. There is also a campaign exclusive Power Girl that is included for those who back the campaign.

The power of social media is mighty. The filmmakers behind the Hell House LLC franchise have announced the mega-viral property is preparing to release its fifth film, Hell House LLC: Lineage. Not only did the filmmakers announce the existence of the film, but they also revealed the first teaser to it as well as its release window. First shared by Bloody Disgusting, Hell House LLC: Lineage will see release on Shudder next October.

In the teaser, Lineage appears that it may both a prequel and sequel, much like the previous entry in the franchise--Hell House LLC: The Carmichael Manor. Invoking the writings of Robert Frost, the minute-long snippet teases a new haunted house with a new family. See the teaser for yourself below.

How many more Hell House LLC movies will there be?

When we spoke with Hell House LLC helmer Stephen Cognetti last fall, he teased future entries in the franchise despite not thinking of them ahead of the time.

"No, I don't think that far ahead. I write movie-to-movie," Cognetti told ComicBook."I shot a film in 2021 that has not come out yet, which is just a good old fashioned haunted house story. That has been in post-production for two years, and in that time waiting for that film to get completed, I brought back the Hell House idea and wrote Hell House LLC: The Carmichael Manor."

"If I do another Hell House film, I know where I want to go and I kind of tease that at the end of the credits," the director added. "I just don't know if that's what's going to be next. It could be something Hell House, or it could be something completely separate. I don't know yet."

The first three Hell House LLC movies can be seen streaming on Tubi while the fourth, Hell House LLC: The Carmichael Manor is now streaming on Shudder. Though the exact date has yet to be set, Hell House LLC: Lineage will hit Shudder sometime October 2025.

Rick and Morty is going to making its anime debut with Adult Swim later this month, and it will be doing so with the broadcast of both English and Japanese releases of the new anime! Rick and Morty: The Anime has been one of the most curious projects Adult Swim has had in production for a while, and soon we will finally get to see what this new take on the original Adult Swim series brings to the Rick and Morty multiverse. Previously teased to get both English subtitled and dubbed releases, it's now been confirmed that both versions will actually be airing on Adult Swim.

Rick and Morty: The Anime will be officially airing both its English dubbed and subtitled releases beginning on August 15th. The English dub release will be launching on August 15th at midnight local time at Adult Swim, and then the English subtitled release will then following on August 17th at midnight as part of the Toonami programming block. So fans looking to see both releases will be able to check out their broadcasts, with new episodes then being available to stream with Max the following day. What to Know for Rick and Morty: The Anime

Rick and Morty: The Anime will launch its English dub episodes on Thursdays this Summer, and features the cast of Joe Daniels as Rick and Jerry, Gabriel Regojo as Morty, Donna Bella Litton as Summer, and Patricia Duran as Beth. The Japanese release will then follow on Saturdays, and the voice cast for that edition stars Youhei Tadano as Rick, Keisuke Chiba as Morty, Akiha Matsui as Summer, Manabu Muraji as Jerry, and Takako Fuji as Beth.

Written and directed by Takashi Sano (who previously directed the "Rick and Morty vs. Genocider" and "Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil)" anime shorts) for Telecom Animation Film, it will be a ten episode long series produced by Sola Entertainment. Maki Nagano, Max Nishi, and Takenari Maeda will serve as producers, Yu Kiyozono will serve as the animation producer, Yuuki Kakizoe as the assistant producer, Jason DeMarco and Joseph Chou as executive producers, Arisa Matsuzawa as art director, and Makiko Kojima as color designer.

Rick and Morty: The Anime teases what to expect from the new anime's story as such, "In Rick and Morty: The Anime, a new series from the world of 'Rick and Morty,' Rick relaxes in a pseudo-world between multiverses, Summer helps Space Beth fight the evil Galactic Federation, and Morty falls in love with a mysterious girl who happens to be an atemporal being."

Back in 2021, Emerald Fennell won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Promising Young Woman, and she made waves again last year after her second feature film, Saltburn, became a divisive awards season contender. Fennell, who is also an actor known for playing Camilla Parker Bowles in The Crown and Midge in Barbie, is currently eying her next project. The director took to Twitter yesterday to reveal she will be directing an adaptation of the classic Gothic romance, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bront?.

Fennell shared cover artwork by Katie Buckley that teases a new Wuthering Heights adaptation with, "A film by Emerald Fennell" at the bottom. According to Deadline, the project will reunite Fennell with studio MRC after collaborating on Saltburn. However, it is currently unclear who will distribute the project. There also hasn't been any casting news. The tagline in the shared artwork reads, "Be With Me Always. Take Any Form. Drive Me Mad." You can check out the image in the post below:

Emerald Fennell Talks Saltburn:

In Saltburn, Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family's sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten. The ensemble cast also includes Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, Carey Mulligan, Paul Rhys, Lolly Adefope, Ewan Mitchell, and Reece Shearsmith.

"My favorite thing in general is sympathy for the devil," Fennell said of the film in an interview with Vanity Fair. "The sorts of people that we can't stand, the sorts of people who are abhorrent--if we can love them, if we can fall in love with these people, if we can understand why this is so alluring, in spite of its palpable cruelty and unfairness and sort of strangeness, if we all want to be there too, I think that's just such an interesting dynamic."

"He's just so compelling. He's got a kind of sex appeal and a vulnerability and a physical presence and a sort of darkness, or he can at least communicate these things in a way that is very rare," Fennell added of Keoghan. "[We were] holding hands and jumping off a cliff, because a lot of the time we were looking to make something that is sort of visceral and surprising and dark and sexy, and that takes a lot of commitment."

My Hero Academia will be hitting theaters with its fourth major feature film, and a new poster has been released to help hype up its launch in IMAX! My Hero Academia is now in the midst of the final fights between the heroes and villains with the TV anime's newest episodes as Season 7 brings it all one step closer to an end. But that won't be the only new anime release fans get to see in action this Summer as it will be telling a new story set in between the events of Season 6 and Season 7.

My Hero Academia: You're Next will be hitting theaters across Japan this August, and it's going all out with regular screenings and debut screenings in special formats such as IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and more when it hits Japan. It's yet to be announced as to whether or not the film will get such a wide format release when it hits North America later this Fall, but for you know you can check out the special poster for the film hyping its IMAX launch below.

My Hero Academia: You're Next U.S. Release Date

My Hero Academia: You're Next will be releasing in Japan on August 2nd before releasing in North America beginning on October 11th. Featuring My Hero Academia series creator Kohei Horikoshi as the supervisor and new character designer, My Hero Academia: You're Next will be directed by Tensai Okamura for studio Bones. Yosuke Kuroda will be returning from the TV anime to write the script, Yoshihiko Umakoshi returns to provide the character designs, and Yuki Hayashi returns to compose the music.

New characters and cast coming to the film include Kenta Miyake as Dark Might, Meru Nukumi as Anna Scervino, Mamoru Miyano as Giulio Gandini, Ken Uo as Hugo, Yuki Ono as Kamil, Minako Kotobuki as Deborah, Yusuke Kobayashi as Paulo, Michitake Kikuchi as Simon, and Masaki Terasoma as Bruno. Horikoshi previously teased the setting of My Hero Academia: You're Next as such, "It'll take place after the War from Season 6, meaning that the collapsed society will be the stage this time. After having been through so much and learning so many things, who will Deku and his friends fight against this time? What will they protect?! Look forward to it!"

My Hero Academia's manga will be ending later this August, but you can find the final chapters with Viz Media's digital Shonen Jump library or Shueisha's MangaPlus service. The seven seasons of the My Hero Academia TV anime are now streaming with Crunchyroll and Hulu as well.

Outside of Steam's own sales, there's another worthwhile Steam deal going on right now through the third-party retailer Fanatical that makes a bunch of different Steam games as low as $0.50 each if you're bundling games together. A tenured member of the WWE women's division reportedly just re-signed with the company, according to PWInsider. Although she's currently not on television and hasn't been for quite some time, the new deal could bring her back on-screen sooner than later. Reports have been flying about the status of Natalya as her contract inched closer and closer to the end. There was reported interest from outside companies that may be looking to bring her to their rosters as she has a lot of experience training and coaching young wrestlers with her husband TJ Wilson, a former wrestler turned WWE producer.

Natalya has been with WWE for nearly two decades, first signing back in 2007 where she was quickly paired with Victoria. She went through several tag team partners the first few years, eventually sticking it with Beth Phoenix. She was also part of The Hart Dynasty stable around this time with Wilson and David Hart Smith. She eventually began souring on her own, winning the Divas Championship in 2011. She was a critical part of many of the women's during that era thriving on television as they had little to no wrestling experience.

As she had grown up around wrestling her entire life and had actually been trained in the sport, she was able to give advice to the locker room, becoming a locker room leader which she appears to still be. Years later she won her second championship, the SmackDown Women's Championship, in 2017. Fans had believed that she had earned it after all the years she put in WWE, selflessly putting other women ahead of herself. She won her most recent championship in 2021 with Tamina, the Women's Tag Team Championships.

Back in April, Comicbook spoke to former Women's Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill about Natalya as she had a hand in helping her train for her big WWE debut. Cargill explained how thankful she is to have someone like Natalya is in the locker room, and how integral she was in her development. "It was great. You know, she's a veteran in the game. She gave a lot of advice. What I can do better, what, you know, what I can enhance and [she's] very vocal," Cargill said. "Very kind, very sweet. You know, I think it was last week, I came in with an erect house against Damage CTRL. She was the first person that text me and say, 'hey, you did phenomenal, you look great.' You know, she's a locker room leader. I'm excited. I'm thankful to have her in our locker room."

Natalya joins a number of WWE superstars who have recently signed new contracts after originally inking new deals in 2019 right around the time AEW was forming. Top superstars Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Chad Gable and Cody Rhodes have all signed multi-year deals while one star opted to leave at the end of their contract, presumably to sign with AEW.

Rent-a-Girlfriend has announced that the anime is coming back for Season 4 some time in 2025! Rent-a-Girlfriend has been maintaining its strong grip on the romantic comedy anime scene over the last few years with the first three seasons, and now it's confirmed that the TV anime will be returning for a fourth. Rent-a-Girlfriend brought the third season of the series to an end last Summer, but unfortunately like the first two, it did not confirm whether or not there would be a continuation. That means fans have been held in a limbo in the months since.

Thankfully the wait for an update has ended as Rent-a-Girlfriend has officially announced that Season 4 of the TV anime is now in production for a release in 2025. While there are currently no concrete details about its release date, or potential returning staff or cast, Rent-a-Girlfriend is celebrating this announcement with the first teaser trailer hyping up what's to come. How to Watch Rent-a-Girlfriend Anime

The Hawaii Trip arc features some of the most infamous moments from Rent-a-Girlfriend's manga (with one panel in particular becoming a meme for all the wrong reasons), so it's going to be interesting to see how the new TV season brings all of that to life. CBS has rolled out its Fall 2024 premiere dates, and the upcoming slate will bring several fan-favorite franchises back to TV as well as a few anticipated series debuts. One of the biggest franchises making a return is FBI, which will premiere FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted on Tuesday, October 15th. Another favorite series will also return in the supernatural comedy Ghosts, which will for its fourth season on Thursday, October 17th. NCIS, Survivor, and Tracker will also be making returns, though there are new additions as well, including Matlock, which will make its long-awaited debut on Thursday, October 10th (via TV Line).

A Full Slate

CBS' new TV season will officially begin with Season 47 of Survivor, which will kick off with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, September 18th. Matlock will make its big premiere on Sunday, September 22nd, and then the following week The Summit will make its big series premiere (September 29th). Matlock will also get a series premiere encore on Thursday, October 10th, and then the next week kicks the schedule into overdrive.

NCIS debuts its 22nd season on Monday, October 14th, and will be followed by the two-hour series premiere of NCIS: Origins. Tuesday, October 15th will then debut all three FBI shows, including FBI (season 7), FBI: International (season 4), and FBI: Most Wanted (season 6). That Thursday (October 17th) will feature the series premiere of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, followed by the season 4 premiere of Ghosts, the second episode of Matlock, and the season 2 premiere of Elsbeth. Game Boy Advance enjoyers already got several games to play this week thanks to Nintendo Switch Online adding three different titles that have never been released outside of Japan before, but that's not even all the Game Boy Advance news announced recently. It was also announced this week by WayForward that another classic Game Boy Advance game will finally be brought forward to modern platforms around 20 years after its release after it's only ever been available on the Game Boy Advance itself since release. That game is Sigma Star Saga, and it'll be rereleased on modern platforms and the Game Boy Advance again in 2025.

WayForward Technologies itself developed Sigma Star Saga back in 2005 for the GBA platform, so its return in 2025 will mark 20 years between the revival and its initial release. WayForward will be working with Bandai Namco Entertainment and Limited Run on this Sigma Star Saga rerelease of the "highly requested cult classic."

After its initial release in North America in 2005, the game was released in Europe a year later, but it's never left the GBA platform before. The redone version of the game will be available on the GBA again alongside a PC version and releases on "modern consoles." That'll presumably be the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, though WayForward did not specify the platforms on which Sigma Star Saga would release outside of being on the GBA and PC platforms.

"Featuring a unique mix of top-down planetary exploration and side-scrolling shoot-'em-up space battles, Sigma Star Saga lets you suit up as Allied Earth Federation pilot Ian Recker, who infiltrates the alien Krill Empire as a double agent in a last-ditch effort to save mankind from their onslaught," WayForward said about its GBA classic. "To do so, you must work with both humans and the Krill, exploring six planets utilizing an ever-expanding set of tools and abilities, and jumping into the cockpit to engage enemy forces in intense shmup-style combat using more than 70 different Gun Data items. Gorgeous pixel-art graphics, epic boss battles, and a twist-filled story with multiple endings await."

An exact release date for the rerelease of Sigma Star Saga has not yet been set, but the GBA game is scheduled to make a return at some point next year.

The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is a little over a month away from premiering on Prime Video, and there have been a lot of teases about the new season ranging from Sauron's sinister plans to the promise of some "grander scale" battles. We've also seen some images of new characters, including Damrod, a Hill-troll known as the "eater of dragon bones." This week, Entertainment Weekly shared another new photo of C?rdan the Shipwright, a legendary character who will played by The Crown's Ben Daniels. The character is an "elf, a master shipbuilder, and font of wisdom" and another ringbearer in the Lord of the Rings universe.

"The wonderful Ben Daniels is playing C?rdan," co-showrunner J.D. Payne shared with EW. "He's a classically trained British actor and brings a lot of wisdom and gravitas to the role."

"Also, his humor and warmth," co-showrunner Patrick McKay added. "We really fell in love with him in The Crown and wanted to work with him."

Who Is C?rdan the Shipwright?

C?rdan is well-known from J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium. You can read a description of the character here: "As a master shipbuilder, C?rdan is master of the Grey Havens. That's the harbor in the Lindon region that can transport elves who have tired of Middle-earth back to the Undying Lands of Valinor. The last chapter of The Lord of the Rings is titled 'The Grey Havens,' because the story ends with Frodo Baggins and the other ring-bearers (including C?rdan) departing Middle-earth at the end of the Third Age."

What Is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 About?

"What I know and what I can say for a fact is that it's going to be darker, and it's going to be edgier and more character-driven," Season 2 director Charlotte Br?ndstr?m shared with MovieZine earlier this year. "I still think that we have some very interesting episodes coming up. I watched all of them over Christmas, just the cuts. I think it's going to be a very good season. We tried to make it more gritty, a little bit more dirty I guess. And not in the image, but to make it as authentic as possible. We have some very surprising twists and turns in it as well."

The Dragon Prince is now inching closer to its return to Netflix with new episodes, and the animated series has dropped a dark new trailer for Season 6! The Dragon Prince has been steadily working its way through the Mystery of Aaravos saga since the start of the fourth season, and fans might have noticed just how much more intense the series has gotten compared to the earlier seasons. With what we have seen from Season 6 thus far, it looks like this trend is going to continue in the coming episodes as the animated series gets closer than ever to its end.

The Dragon Prince Season 6 will be the second to the last of the seasons ordered by Netflix to tell the animated series' story, so that likely means it's going to be full of gamechanging moments to help set it all up before the climax. The Dragon Prince Season 6 has been sharing ominous looks at the new episodes leading to its premiere, and that's especially the case for the newest trailer that you can check out below.

What to Know for The Dragon Prince Season 6

The Dragon Prince Season 6 will be releasing on Netflix on July 26th, but has yet to reveal how many episodes it will be sticking around for. This serves as the second to last season of the animated series, so now is the perfect time to catch up with every season of the series released thus far now streaming with Netflix. As for what went down in the previous season, Wonderstorm teases The Dragon Prince Season 5 as such:

"The Netflix animated series THE DRAGON PRINCE returns for a nine-episode fifth season on July 27, 2023. Speaking to the darker tone in The Dragon Prince Season 5, series co-creator Justin Richmond noted the evolution happening in the later seasons to ComicBook as such, "Yeah, since the beginning, we'd always said that these seasons get progressively more mature and some of that means that we go to darker places and this is the first flexing of those muscles in terms of putting it into the show. That doesn't mean that it's grimdark and Warhammer-esque, but trying to go to emotionally different places with the characters, I think, was important. That being said, we still have two more to go, so there are definitely highs and lows in this season, and I think the peaks and valleys will continue as we head towards Season 7 and what we have planned there."

Richard Simmons, the television personality known for his energetic health-forward persona, has died. TMZ first reported the death, which is said to have happened Saturday morning. According to the tabloid, first responders were called to Simmons' residence around 10 a.m. local time after a housekeeper found him unresponsive, subsequently pronouncing him dead at the scene. The police are reportedly investigating the death as a result of natural causes and no foul play is suspected; no exact cause of death was immediately reported. He was 76.

Born in 1948, Simmons' career was started after he founded a gym called Slimmons in Beverly Hills. Considered obese much of his young adult life the fitness personality shed upwards of 123 pounds, opting to help others on their respective fitness journeys. Through his eccentric attitude, Simmons' gyms blossomed into a consumer products franchise that included workout tapes, cassettes, and cookbooks.

Why did Richard Simmons retreat from the public eye?

Last seen in 2014, Simmons' largely retreated from the public eye because the pressures associated with Hollywood. Once a frequent user of Facebook, Simmons most recent post came in the form of a statement disowning Pauly Shore's unauthorized biopic.

"Hi Everybody! You may have heard they may be doing a movie about me with Pauly Shore. I have never given my permission for this movie. So don't believe everything you read," Simmons posted on his verified Facebook page about the film in January. "I no longer have a manager, and I no longer have a publicist. I just try to live a quiet life and be peaceful. Thank you for all your love and support. Richard."

Shore has since said his film pitch is coming from a good spirited angle, and intends to continue seeking out funding for the project.

"My come from has always been love," Shore said in response to Simmons while at the Sundance Film Festival in late January. "It's never been vindictive. I'm not Borat. I'm not 'let's make fun of someone.' It's the opposite. At this point, it's an unauthorized biopic and they're made every day. Yes, I want him to put his pixie dust on this and say, 'Go for it, Pauly.' It's Richard being Richard. It's sensitive. We don't want to bug him. We want him to be left alone and we don't want to bug him. We want to pay homage to him and kiss his feet and say he's done beautiful stuff. Who's going to play Richard Simmons? Leonardo DiCaprio is not going to play Richard Simmons. I look like him."

"I relate to him a lot," Shore added. "I saw an interview he did recently and him saying how he's by himself. He's secluded. He doesn't have any friends or family. He's just alone. That is similar to me right now. My parents passed away. My siblings, we don't have a great relationship. I'm not married. When I am out touring, it's very big and America.. and then I come home and I'm by myself. I definitely feel like I am him. I feel like there is a part of me that is very similar."

My Hero Academia has kicked off the second half of Season 7 with its new episodes now airing through the Summer, and to celebrate the anime has debuted a new set of opening and ending theme sequences! My Hero Academia took a week off for the anime to get into gear with its new schedule as part of the now airing Summer 2024 anime schedule. The series is continuing through the final set of fights between the heroes and villains, and with them are getting steadily more intense with each new episode that passes. And now that's being reflected in the new opening and ending.

My Hero Academia Season 7 has kicked off Part 2 of its seasonal run with Episode 10, and with it has introduced a new set of opening and ending theme sequences. The new opening theme is titled "Curtain Call" as performed by Yuuri, and you can find the creditless version of the new opening in the video above. How to Watch My Hero Academia Season 7 Part 2

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 10 is now streaming with Crunchyroll, and it kicks off Part 2 of the season now airing its new episodes through the Summer. Titled "Wounded Hero, Burning Bright and True!!" the promo for the episode teases it as such, "During the fight with All For One, Endeavor becomes aware of his own weakness, and curses it, remembering the origin of why he wanted to become a hero. Now, it's time for the counterattack!" The English dub release of the new episodes is now available for streaming as well (along with every season of the anime available thus far).

Crunchyroll teases the events of the now airing My Hero Academia Season 7 as such, "Society has crumbled, along with its faith in heroes, with the all-out battle causing great damage. With the heroes defeated, Shigaraki, All For One, and others plot their takeover. As the final battle draws near, Deku, along with his U.A. classmates and other heroes, including one from America, come together to face this onslaught. Will it be enough to restore peace?"

My Hero Academia: You're Next will also be coming to theaters on October 11th in the United States, and will be the fourth feature film in the franchise.

As the summer movie box office heats up, some entertainment fans are already longing for the fall TV schedule. There are a lot of new shows to look forward to this year, including another entry to The Big Bang Theory universe on CBS. The Big Bang Theory ran for 12 seasons on the network before its spinoff series, Young Sheldon, became another huge success. The prequel series recently came to an end after seven seasons, and its series finale was a huge ratings hit. Now, another spinoff is in the works titled Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, and it is set to debut on Thursday, October 17th at 8 PM ET.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will debut before the Season 4 premiere of Ghosts, which will be followed by the second episode of another new series, the Matlock reboot starring Kathy Bates. The evening of new episodes will conclude with the Season 2 premiere of Elsbeth.

What Is Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage About?

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will follow Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting, and marriage. Jordan and Osment are reprising their roles from Young Sheldon. Georgie is Sheldon's older brother and Mandy is his wife. The young couple has a baby in Young Sheldon, and the new series will explore their journey through parenthood. Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland will serve as executive producers of the series, from Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television.

"It has been a privilege to spend the last seven years with Sheldon and the Cooper family and now this wonderful journey will continue with Georgie and Mandy," Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement when the series was first announced to be in development. "Chuck and both Steves have done a masterful job developing these characters and entertaining generations of fans with relatable, heartwarming stories brought to life by Montana and Emily. We eagerly look forward to the next chapter in this beloved universe."

At this time, it's unclear if CBS is looking into any other Big Bang franchise projects.

Marigold officially crowned the inaugural Marigold Women's World Champion during the Summer Destiny event this weekend. Fans gathered inside of Ryogoku Kokugikan to see a stacked card of incredible talent face off against one another as well as the return of WWE superstar IYO SKY. In the main event, however, was Sareee and Giulia battling it out for the Marigold Women's World Champion, hoping to cement themselves in history as the first ever champion. Giulia recently told Tokyo Sports that her time in Marigold is nearing the end and she hopes fans will see her matches in Japan while they still can.

After an extremely hard fought match between the two women, Sareee attacked Giulia's injured wrist which took her out of action for several weeks. It originally appeared that Giulia would debut for WWE at NXT Heatwave but because of her injury and prior commitments to Marigold, that didn't take place. Giulia had no force but to submit and the former NXT star was crowned champion.

When Marigold was founded, Giulia promised to stick around with Rossy Ogawa and the girls until the company had gotten off the ground. With the first champion officially crowned, that means Giulia's future is going to start looking a little bit different. Giulia appeared WrestleMania weekend in Philadelphia, taking photos with WWE CCO Paul "Triple H" Levesque, leading many fans to believe she had signed a contract.

In the reports that followed it became clear that she had in fact done so and would likely be starting with the NXT brand at some point very soon. WWE is currently working to expand their global partnerships, including in Japan where they have worked with All Japan Pro Wrestling, Marigold, and Pro Wrestling NOAH. As of this writing there are no upcoming Premium Live Events for NXT, though they are looking to get her on television as soon as possible.

There are rumors that an event could take place in Cleveland during SummerSlam weekend, but that hasn't been announced and with just a few weeks to go until the big show, it doesn't seem incredibly likely that will happen. The former multi-time STARDOM Champion has other business ventures in the works, including her autobiography My Dream set to release overseas at the end of August.

Pokemon Go players recently got a chance at catching the coveted Mega Rayquaza during a series of Elite Raids last month, and while many were successful, many more found the event frustrating because of how it was rolled out. That's because the Raid Eggs in question which were supposed to have increased chances of spawning a Mega Rayquaza only started showing up in gyms at very inopportune times which left little time for players to coordinate taking on what was already going to be a difficult raid. As such, Niantic announced this week plans to allow for a makeup event where players will get another shot at getting a Mega Rayquaza.

Back in June when the Mega Rayquaza event got underway, Niantic said at nearly the last second that eggs would appear "at eligible Gyms at 6:00 AM local time on Saturday, June 29." Players quickly said that that wasn't enough time to coordinate Elite Raid attempts given that the Mega Rayquaza raids would be happening the same day and considering how players had to be there in-person to fight Mega Rayquaza.

Compounding this issue already, Niantic said at the time that it'd identified an issue which was limiting access to the Mega Rayquaza raids. It was after that problem was acknowledged that the Pokemon Go developer said it'd be prepping something for compensation.

"Trainers, we have resolved an issue limiting the availability of Mega Rayquaza Elite Raids," Niantic said at the time. "We are planning a make good for affected Trainers and will share more details as they become available."

Now, it's been confirmed that the makeup event will take place on August 3rd. This redo of the Mega Rayquaza event will only have two separate Elite Raid instances as opposed to original one which featured four rounds of the Elite Raids, but it'll at least give players another chance to try for Mega Rayquaza if they were affected by the original event's issues.

"Trainers, due to issues affecting Elite Raids featuring Mega Rayquaza, a special global makeup event will be held for all Trainers on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm local time," Niantic said. "More details to be shared on the blog soon."

At the beginning of 2023, it was announced that Oscar-winning actor Kathy Bates would be starring in a TV reboot of Matlock. The beloved mystery/legal drama series starred Andy Griffith as criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock, and it ran for nine seasons between 1986 and 1995. Bates will take on the role of the titular lawyer in the new version, which was previously announced to debut on CBS this fall. Now, the show has been given an official premiere date. You can officially see Bates in the role starting Sunday, September 22nd.

Matlock is set to debut at 8 PM ET on Sunday, September 22nd, which is a special night and time. The series premiere will have its encore on Thursday, October 10th at 9 PM ET after Big Brother and before a repeat of Elsebeth. The show will continue to air on Thursday nights with its second episode debuting on CBS on October 17th at 9 PM ET. The show was originally expected to be part of the 2023 season but was delayed to the 2024-2025 cycle amid last year's Hollywood strikes.

What Is the Matlock Reboot About?

Matlock stars Emmy and Academy Award winner Kathy Bates as Madeline "Matty" Matlock, a brilliant septuagenarian who achieved success in her younger years and decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases. Matty is assigned to Olympia (Skye P. Marshall), a senior attorney and key rainmaker with a thirst for justice. Olympia's ex-husband, Julian (Jason Ritter), the son of the head of the firm, is intrigued by Matty and her clever skills. As Matty endeavors to establish herself in her new high-stakes world, she works alongside the firm's younger associates - the charismatic Billy (David Del Rio) and the uber-ambitious Sarah (Leah Lewis).

Matlock is inspired by the classic television series of the same name. In addition to Bates in the title role, Matlock stars Beau Bridges as Senior, Yael Grobglas as Shae, Skye P. Marshall as Olympia, Jason Ritter as Julian, David Del Rio as Billy and Leah Lewis as Sarah. Bates, Jennie Snyder Urman, Joanna Klein, Eric Christian Olsen and John Will are executive producers. Kat Coiro directed the pilot from a script written by Urman. The series is produced by CBS Studios.

Matlock debuts on CBS on September 22nd.

NBC Universal pulled the curtain back on its full 2024 fall lineup, delivering the much-anticipated premiere dates for the flagship Law & Order series and Law & Order: SVU, as well as a host of the network's returning favorites like The Voice, the Chicago franchise, The Voice, The Irrational, and more. NBC's premieres kick off on September 23rd and continue to roll out over the next two months, though Law & Order's Thursday lineup will return on October 3rd. As in previous seasons, this will have Law & Order in the 8 PM EST time slot, while SVU will follow next at 9 PM EST. This will mark the first time Law & Order: Organized Crime will not follow SVU, as Found will be in that time slot after Organized Crime was made exclusive to Peacock.

Long Awaited Returns

The premiere season kicks off on Monday, September 23rd with The Voice and Brilliant Minds, and then the next set of preemies will be on Wednesday, September 25th with Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. The last premiere of the month will happen on Friday, September 27th with Dateline. On Tuesday, October 1st The Voice returns and is followed by the premiere of The Irrational's second season.

Then it's Law & Order, SVU, and Found's turn up to bat on October 3rd. The Friday lineup debuts on October 18th with Happy's Place and Lopez vs. Lopez, and the last shows to return are Tuesday's St. Denis Medical and Night Court on November 19th. Marvel Studios massive San Diego Comic-Con panel has an official time. On Saturday July 27 at 6pm PT, fans will get a preview of what's next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios will be up there to unpack all the announcements and reveals for San Diego Comic-Con's biggest panel of the weekend. Fans have been expecting some pretty big moves from Marvel after some of the shuffling earlier this year. A lot of projects got pushed to 2025 and beyond. There's a new director for Avengers 5 to announce and possibly new castings to be unveiled. So, Feige and company are going to have to hit the ground running.

One interesting fact headed into the big Marvel panel is that Feige will be pulling double duty headed into this event. On Friday night, the Marvel Studios head will be a part of a panel with Marvel Comics bigwig CB Cebulski to talk about the publishing side of the company. Expect some big comics news during that as well. This week already brought Agatha All Along's trailer and a teaser for Captain America: Brave New World. Before this week, both of those clips would have been locks for the San Diego stage. Now, some fans are wondering what will take their place. So, there are probably going to be some surprises in-store for people who tune-in for the MCU showcase.

Fantastic Four To Have Major Comic-Con Presence

Fantastic Four is already making its presence felt in San Diego. Near the convention center, there are already banners touting the Future Foundation. There are little teases for The Fantastic Four's characters on light posts as well. It's no secret that Marvel Studios is excited for Matt Shakman's take on the iconic family. No one might be more pumped than Kevin Feige himself. He joined The Official Marvel Podcast to talk about 2025's big summer blockbuster.

"Our director, Matt Shakman has already moved to London, and we start filming at the end of July. Funny story, we start shooting the Monday after Comic-Con," Feige told the podcast. "We start filming the day after on Fantastic Four. I'm extremely excited, because those characters are mainstays, are legendary pillars of the Marvel Universe that we've never gotten to play with or explore in any significant way apart from [Doctor Strange in the] Multiverse of Madness and a few fun teases before, in the way we're doing that film. So, I'm extremely excited."

"It is a period film, and there was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol. There was a cityscape in that image," Feige smirked. "There were a lot of smart people who noticed that that cityscape didn't look exactly like the New York that we know or the New York that existed in the 60s in our world. Those are smart observations, I'll say..."

Jodie Whittaker will reprise the Doctor, alongside Mandip Gill as companion Yaz, in Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures. Big Finish Audio announced a series of 12 full-cast, hour-long audio adventures on Saturday, debuting in July 2025. Whittaker played the Doctor on Doctor Who for three seasons of the beloved sci-fi series, beginning in 2017 and ending with the Doctor Who special "The Power" of the Doctor" in 2022. Gill's Yaz was one of several companions to accompany the Thirteenth Doctor on her adventures, and the only one of them to be with her from her first episode to her last televised adventure.

"I'm over the moon to be joining Big Finish for more adventures in the TARDIS," Whittaker says in a statement released by Big Finish. "Recording the Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz is a really lovely thing to revisit. One of the things Mandip and I used to love on Doctor Who was getting in, doing a new episode and meeting a brand-new cast. I just can't wait to step back into the boots, pull on the coat and get cracking. One thing's for sure, it's going to be brilliant."

Gill adds, "Doctor Who has been a huge part of my career and personal life and I am looking forward to seeing how I can further enrich my character through this exhilarating series. To be able to work with Jodie again is a dream come true, we have such a special friendship, I'm sure the recordings will be filled with laughter."

Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures is the latest Big Finish series to spin out from Chris Chibnall's time as Doctor Who showrunner. Big Finish previously announced two related series, one bringing back Jo Martin as the Fugitive Doctor and the other starring Sacha Dhawan as the Master.

The Thirteenth Doctor Returns to Doctor Who

"This year Big Finish is celebrating its 25th anniversary of producing full-cast Doctor Who audio drama - so, when we were granted the license to create new stories set during the Thirteenth Doctor's era, we immediately set to work," Big Finish chairman Jason Haigh-Ellery says. "I am delighted that the inimitable Jodie and Mandip have decided to return to their roles with us and I'm excited to welcome them to Big Finish. Alongside our two other forthcoming series for the Fugitive Doctor (played by Jo Martin) and the Master (played by Sacha Dhawan), 2025 has never looked brighter for the Thirteenth Doctor and her fam."

Big Finish creative director Nicholas Briggs adds, "Jodie and Mandip were so welcoming to me when I worked on set with them in the TV show, so I'm looking forward to repaying the compliment. They're lovely people and they're full of enthusiasm for this project."

Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures is now available to pre-order on the Big Finish website. The series can be purchased in its entirety or can be obtained on a per-episode basis. It will be available both digitally and on CD.

Despicable Me 4 hit theaters last week, and not only did it have a strong start at the box office in its first week, but it made $120 million by the time the holiday weekend was over. The animated film is now in its second weekend in theaters, and it's still going strong. In fact, it looks like it will probably beat the horror film Longlegs to land in first place at the box office yet again. The movie's success at the box office has allowed the Despicable Me and Minions franchise to reach a huge milestone. The movies have surpassed a total of $5 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing animated franchise in history.

Despicable Me 4 is expected to close out the weekend strong, bringing its global total to $441 million. According to Box Office Mojo, the first Despicable Me earned $543,239,815 worldwide, Despicable Me 2 earned $970,766,005 worldwide, and Despicable Me 3 earned $1,034,799,409. As for the Minion films, Minions made $1,159,398,397 worldwide and Minions: The Rise of Gru made $940,203,765 worldwide. Domestically, the Despicable Me and Minions movies are the 10th highest-grossing franchise of all time.

What Is Despicable Me 4 About?

After going down at pretty much the worst possible time, PlayStation's digital collectible system called PlayStation Stars is finally coming back online for users in different regions. The PlayStation Stars feature went down amid the Days of Play event over a month ago which meant that many weren't able to capitalize on the sales to earn more PlayStation Stars points which could then be converted into collectibles or even store credit, but it's at least back now for people who still have more purchases to make. The only problem now, however, is that many PlayStation Stars users are reporting that some of their earned collectibles are missing and that some point acquisitions aren't being tracked correctly.

PlayStation Stars users started seeing notifications around a week ago that said that the program would be back up and running soon, and in recent days, more and more people have said online that it's becoming available once more for them. The rollout doesn't appear to be 100% complete yet, but it's still ongoing.

The problem, however, is that not everything is as it's supposed to be even with PlayStation Stars coming back online. Posts within the PlayStation Stars subreddit have said as much with players taking inventory of what's in their collections and what should be there. One post in particular said that their preorder collectible from God of War Ragnarok's release has gone missing from their digital trophy case. Others in the comments said that the same thing has happened with a Symbiote collectible from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 with more chiming in to say that those two collectibles in particular seemingly the ones that many people are having problems with.

Others in separate posts showed screenshots of their PlayStation Stars activity logs where there should've been points generated from purchases made during June. PlayStation Stars has been down for awhile now, so it's reasonable to expect that some of the purchases might be playing catchup when it comes to having them accurately reflected in the points trackers, but it's another issue that some PlayStation Stars users are facing regardless now that it's back up.

PlayStation does not really share many updates on PlayStation Stars outside of notices in the app and the occasional PlayStation Blog post talking about what's new that month, though we'll perhaps hear more updates on fixes for these PlayStation Stars issues players have been experiencing after the rollout is finished.

Despicable Me 4 is still number one at box office and Longlegs is gaining in a stunning opening weekend. Universal's animated franchise is picking up where Inside Out 2 left off. The Minions are poised to rake in another $44 million this weekend domestically. That would push Despicable Me 4 to $210 million on this side of the pond. Impressively, this latest update actually moved the Illumination franchise up past $5 billion worldwide. This summer, a lot of the big successes have been animated features. Despite a lengthy run, people are still making trips back to the theater for Inside Out 2. That could be a massive story coming out of a strange summer at the blockbuster.

Longlegs is the story of the weekend though. Osgood Perkins' little horror movie that could has been the talk of film Twitter for days now. With under $3 million to its budget, Longlegs is poised to bring in as much as $22 million during its opening weekend. Neon and A24 have to be thrilled with this development. $9 million would have been a tremendous start for this film, but to double it up with relatve ease? That's something else entirely. It's been a boom season for Neon as Immaculate notched a studio record with $5.3 million for the Sydney Sweeney-starrer. We'll have to see if Longlegs can carry this momentum through the weekend.

How Good Is Longlegs?

With the Internet rallying around the smaller-budget Horror movie, opinions are starting to circulate all over. ComicBook's Patrick Cavanaugh reviewed Longlegs for the site. In his review, he was very impressed with Osgood Perkins' latest effort. He gave the movie 4 starts out of 5. In a year with promising Horror contenders, Longlegs might be the favorite with a few months to go!

"With Longlegs, Perkins continues his trend of delivering entirely singular visions of terror, which started with The Blackcoat's Daughter and continued with I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House and Gretel & Hansel," Cavanaugh argued. "The marketing campaign is bolstering that this movie could quite literally kill you with how scary it is, and while most of us will live to see the movie and tell the tale, what you've witnessed isn't something you're likely to shake off anytime soon."

He adds, "Even if the ultimate resolution of the story doesn't fully live up to the breadcrumbs the first two acts of the film set up, knowing that such an unconventional, ambitious, and uncompromising experience that could fall under the umbrella of any generic murder mystery feels like nothing short of a triumph."

If you're fan of games like Vampire Survivors and other shooters that feature seemingly endless waves of enemies and upgrades for players to unlock, there's a newish game on Steam right now that you need to get while it's still free. That game in question is called Pizza Hero, and it just landed on Steam towards the end of June for the very agreeable price of "free." That 100% discount is only going to last for awhile longer, however, with Pizza Hero set to return to a full price at an undisclosed date, so you should grab it for free now while you still can.

Pizza Hero has been out on mobile platforms for over a year now, but it only just recently came to Steam in June. A quick look at the YouTube Short below from the developer that shows off the game will show how the gameplay and even the art to a degree both very much take after experiences like Vampire Survivors and others in the bullet-filled roguelite genre, but in this game, you play as a piece of pizza instead of a monster slayer. You're still fighting monsters, but you're picking up things like pizza toppings instead to grant yourself extra powers for the runs.

"Pizza Hero is a swarm survivor, meaning that you'll need to use all of your skills and strategies to take down waves of relentless enemies. With randomly generated levels and power-ups, no two playthroughs are ever the same," an overview of the Pizza Hero game explained. "To help you in your quest, the game features an auto-rotate feature that allows you to easily switch between targeting groups without having to manually rotate."

To compare it to some other games in the genre, Pizza Hero has just over 20 different powerups to collect during a match and still lets you upgrade your overall stats after a run as well with those upgrades persisting between runs. A note added to the game's Steam page towards the end of June confirmed that Pizza Hero will eventually be a full-priced game, but it didn't specify when that change would happen nor did it say how much the game would cost.

"Attention, gamers! Pizza Hero is now available for free on Steam, but this offer won't last long," developer Astro Hound said. "Simply add the game to your library, and you'll have it forever.. for free! The promotion ends soon, so don't miss out on this exciting adventure!

Hunt: Showdown has now gone through a round of pricing changes for the base game and its DLCs that could come off as good news or bad news depending on whether you own the game or not and which DLCs you're looking to buy. Hunt: Showdown developer Crytek announced this week plans to decrease the price of the base game which is a welcome change for anyone who's still on the fence about it or those who want to get it on another platform. That base game change, however, was accompanied by some changes for DLC prices that Crytek said may see some DLCs getting more expensive.

Crytek determined now was the right time to adjust Hunt: Showdown prices due to the "profound changes coming in the August launch" which include a new engine upgrade and more. As of July 11th, the base game's price has already been adjusted on the PC platform. The game just came off a sale where it was being offered for under $15, but now that the sale has ended, the price has gone back up to $29.99. That's still a better deal than it was before, however, since Hunt: Showdown used to cost $39.99 before the permanent price reduction happened. That same price cut is scheduled to happen on August 15th for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.

For the DLC, however, prices are going both up and down. Crytek did not specify which DLCs' prices would be changing but said that some of them would be increased while others would be decreased. Hunt: Showdown has a lot of DLCs to look through with over 50 of them offered on the Steam page alone, but a quick look at those doesn't yield many noticeable price changes at all. These DLCs usually consist of different Hunters as well as weapons, and right now, it looks like the most expensive one is $14.99 which isn't too egregious for DLC at all.

"These changes will also affect DLC prices, which will witness various increases and decreases across all regions. The Blood Bonds will follow a similar model across upcoming updates," Crytek said. "We have worked to make these changes at the right level to ensure that Hunt remains competitive, accessible and affordable worldwide, while still supporting future development and new content for the game."

Hunt: Showdown's pricing changes are live on PC now with console changes to happen next month.

Deadpool & Wolverine's director revealed what ended up being the most fun during the movie. Shawn Levy knows people love the slight gore and bad words in a Deadpool film. But, the filmmaker told The Finanaical Times that "self-awareness" is the most fun while filming the sequel. A lot has been said on social media about Disney possibly changing the movie and making the tone different from the first two Deadpool films. (Early reactions to footage from fans has quickly disproved this notion.) But, with that irreverent tone still clearly rolling along, the ability to critique anything and everything in the MCU and beyond. Levy thinks that freedom is something that sets these movies apart from other superhero entries.

"People think of the R rating, the very foul language and audacious violence, but what's really the most fun about making Deadpool is the self-awareness," Levy muses. "He is literally turning and talking to the audience and commenting on culture, Hollywood and the movie itself. That opens up lanes of comedy that are a blast because you get to talk shit about everything."

"Male friendship is one of the central themes of Deadpool & Wolverine -- the question of how grown men connect, bond, communicate," he added. "And if you're Deadpool and Wolverine, sometimes it's through stabbings."

Deadpool & Wolverine Ended Up Hinging On Hugh Jackman

Deadpool 3 has been in the works for a long time now. Originally, Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy couldn't quite crack the story. But, the duo ended up getting saved by Hugh Jackman deciding to come back as Wolverine. From there, everything actually started clicking into place. During a recent stop on the press tour, Reynolds recounted the story of how long it took to get to Deadpool & Wolverine. Apparently, Logan was the secret sauce that made the movie work. Kevin Feige heard that Jackman asked to come back and approved the idea almost immediately. (All he wanted was Wolverine in the yellow suit apparently.)

"I had met Kevin Feige six years ago to discuss this, and the first thing I said to him, 'I just want to make Wolverine and Deadpool together. I just want these two together on screen.' At the time, Kevin said, 'Forget it. It's never going to happen,'" Reynolds shared. "And I said, 'Okay, that's fine.' As we marched inexorably forward, Shawn and I were coming up with different pitches and different ideas, and we pitched Marvel everything you could imagine -- little movies, big movies, anything -- and it wasn't working out."

"And then one day, we were on our last pitch. We were about to say to Kevin Feige, 'I think we're going to walk away and we'll come back later, maybe in a couple years, when we have a better sense of things.' And Hugh happened to call me," The star continued. "Shawn and I just pivoted in the middle of our pitch to Kevin and said, 'Look, this thing just happened. It seems kind of miraculous. Hugh called me, what do you say?' And for some reason, Kevin immediately said yes."

The fourth season of The Boys is nearly in the books, after weeks of remixing a lot of the Prime Video series' lore. This was especially the case in the series' latest episode, "The Insider", which unveiled a surprising justification for why Kimiko Miyashiro (Karen Fukuhara) has been mute for the entirety of the series. As she explains in the episode, she was taught by her captors at the Shining Light Liberation Army to move and fight like a "ghost", with deadly consequences if someone speaks or screams. Eventually, Kimiko murdered multiple young girls "without making a sound," only to discover that she couldn't speak once she was allowed to.

"From initial conversations with [showrunner Eric] Kripke, we spoke about having Kimiko's muteness not come from a physical attribute because if it was a physical attribute, it's sometimes impossible to get your voice back after a physical trauma," Fukuhara explained in a recent interview with TheWrap. "So I said to [Kripke], I don't think it can be a physical attribute if we want that tinge of hope, if we want to change the storyline or incorporate that in future seasons, and he was really receptive to that early on."

"I love it because this entire season is about even the heroic characters facing their demons, such as Annie's past with Firecracker. She was never this cookie-cutter good person that we always expected her to be, and I love that entire storyline and backstory because it gives her a lot more humanity. I think the writers were able to do that with Kimiko," Fukuhara said. "She's always kind of viewed herself as a victim to Shining Light, a victim to Compound V. A victim to all the s-tty things that have come her way, but Season 4 ,she had to face her own own darkness and own up to all the wrongdoing she did to other people."

What Is The Boys Season 4 About?

In Season Four of The Boys, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca's son as well as his job as The Boys' leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it's too late.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti. Season Four will welcome Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Dragon Age fans are antsy for a release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard - the release window of fall 2024 announced during this year's Xbox Games Showcase has officially reached the point where it's not enough for what's safe to say is vast majority of the fandom who grow more and more impatient by the day waiting to fully experience the game and its characters (and its romances...). Hopefully it won't be much longer to wait as we progress through the summer, and thanks to a new announcement it may be possible that a release date announcement could come as soon as later this month as part of one of the biggest pop culture events of the year.

"Exciting news Dragon Age fans, we're going to be at SDCC later this month! Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the community, we can't wait to see you there," today's exciting post on the official Dragon Age X (formerly Twitter) reads, confirming BioWare and their next game release will have a presence at this year's San Diego Comic Con. Per the image attached to the post, Dragon Age fans can look forward to the following series of events as SDCC unfolds:

• July 25th: Voice Over Talent Signing with talent for Neve, Harding, Lucanis, and Emmrich; Fandom Party at the Hard Rock Hotel
• July 26th: Voice Over Panel with talent for Neve, Harding, Lucanis, and Emmrich
• July 28th: Dev Team signing to meet the minds behind The Veilguard

The image also notes that BioWare can be visited at the Dark Horse Comics booth throughout the convention, located at Booth 2615.

While San Diego Comic Con is a great environment to announce a release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, that doesn't mean this is necessarily the platform BioWare will choose to do so and it's entirely speculation to say that might be part of the July 26th panel. Regardless of whether or not BioWare chooses to announce its fourth Dragon Age game's release date during this event it will be exciting to meet the cast behind some of the companions and romance options for the game, because for now this remains one of the great mysteries of The Veilguard despite plenty of additional information reveals recently thanks to the GameInformer cover issue and BioWare hosted developer Q&A sessions on Discord.

San Diego Comic Con will take place Thursday, July 25th to Sunday, July 28th.

If you don't know by now that Larian Studios absolutely knocked it out of the park with their 2023 release Baldur's Gate 3, it's fairly safe to assume that you've been living under a rock. Even if the Dungeons & Dragons based role-playing game didn't appeal to you for some reason or another (probably the turn-based combat), if you spend any time in gaming communities online you've seen or heard about the game that earned multiple Game of the Year awards during the year's awards season, and its characters have definitely been on your timeline likely more than once. Afterall, have you truly lived if you haven't asked Shadowheart how you're holding up in her estimations?

Larian Studios crafted beautiful settings, narratives, and characters for Baldur's Gate 3, providing immersive and rich locations to explore and characters so popular they're already considered some of the most popular video game characters of all time. Larian Studios and Dungeons & Dragons made a beautiful combination, so it came as a surprise when the developers confirmed they'd be moving away from the IP as a whole and would not be the studio to create Baldur's Gate 4. As it turns out though, Baldur's Gate 3 was only one of the RPGs Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke was interested in working on, as he recently revealed in an interview with Edge 400. "It would have been Ultima, it would have been Fallout, it would have been Baldur's Gate. There was not a lot to choose from," Vincke revealed, name dropping two large franchises.

While Larian obviously ended up with the license to craft Baldur's Gate 3 and flourished in the realm of Faer?n with an RPG that will continue to be celebrated for years to come for its contribution to the industry, it's interesting to see what types of projects Larian has been interested on working on in the past, especially when taking into consideration that Larian currently has two new projects in-development. Of course, we know Bethesda is making Fallout 5 while continuing updates on their live-service game Fallout 76, given that Larian likes to work on projects that excite them it's nice to be able to confirm some of the genres and games that have piqued some interest in the past while pondering what their next games will shape up to be.

Personally, I'm definitely hoping for a science fiction angle from Larian in the future, but for now I'm going to take some time to consider what a Larian Fallout game could've looked like.

The Energon Universe hit the ground running and hasn't looked back since, delivering several acclaimed Transformers and G.I. Joe solo series before the recent announcement of a new G.I. Joe team book. The train shows no signs of stopping anytime soon either, as in the most recent Image Comics Top 10 report for June, four Energon Universe books made the Top 10 Comics list, and they made up the first four spots in the list. Meanwhile, in the Top 10 Books list (Direct and Book Market), G.I. Joe led the charge as well. It's an impressive showing across the board, and you can check out both full top 10 lists below.

At the top of the Comics list were the two newest additions to the G.I. Joe line in Destro #1 (by Dan Watters, Andrei Bressan, and Adriano Lucas) and Scarlett #1 (by Kelly Thompson, Marco Ferrari, and Lee Loughridge). That was followed up by Transformers #9 and Void Rivals #10, and even though it's not part of the Energon Universe, G.I. Joe still racked up another win with G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #307. Just outside of the top 5 was Misery #1 by Todd McFarlane and Szymon Kudranski, and you can find the full top 10 below.

Amazon Prime Video's untitled Bosch spinoff has added another member to its cast. According to Deadline, the upcoming series -- which will center around Detective Renee Ballard, played by Maggie Q -- has added Courtney Taylor to the cast as a series regular. Taylor has previously appeared on. Netflix's Neon as well as Abbott Elementary, Insecure, and The Company You Keep and will next appear in the second season of AppleTV+'s Shrinking. The series was given a 10-episode order back in November.

Taylor is set to play Samira Parker who is described as "a wary, impulsive and tough woman with a burning desire for justice. Growing up, most everyone Samira knew shared a healthy distrust of the police, but her grandfather, whom Samira looked up to as a kid, was on the force and believed in using his police badge to protect and aid his community. However, being a cop now is a different kind of challenge than it was back then. Give years after leaving the police force, Samira's former mentor, Renee Ballard, convinces her to return to the LAPD's Cold Case Unit, where she works to right the wrongs of the past and bring peace to families and victims, and in the process, Samira slowly restores her own sense of justice."

What is the Unnamed Bosch Spinoff About?

The Bosch spinoff is inspired by the novels of author Michael Connelly and will follow Detective Renee Ballard who is tasked with running the LAPD's new cold-case unit. Per the description, the unit is "a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest caseload in the city. Ballard approaches these frozen-in-time cases with empathy and determination. When she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she'll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch, to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life."

Connelly is set to serve as executive producer under his Hieronymus Pictures banner along with Michael Alaimo, Kendall Sherwood, and Trish Hoffman. Henrik Bastin and Melissa Aouate will executive produce for Fabel Entertainment. Jasmine Russ will serve as co-executive producer for Fabel Entertainment while Theresa Snider will co-executive produce for Hieronymous Pictures. Jamie Boscardin Martin and Trey Batchelor also serve as co-executive producers. Michael Alaimo and Kendall Sherwood will serve as showrunners. The series is expected to debut exclusively on Prime Video.

She instantly captivated readers with hints of a troubled past and a protective layer of idiosyncrasies she developed to survive," Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD originals, unscripted, and targeted programming at Amazon MGM Studios said. "We look forward to expanding the Bosch universe with Michael and introducing viewers to Ballard's personal approach to pursuing justice."

"It is so exciting to bring Ren?e Ballard to the screen and to do it with Prime Video, my streaming partners for going on 10 years. This show will have the same authenticity and propulsive momentum of Bosch: Legacy. Fans of the books will love it," Connelly added.

Now that the world is a little over a month out from this year's Xbox Games Showcase and gamers have undoubtedly added multiple titles to the list of games they intend to play in the future, the dust has settled and for the most part it's a waiting game from here as titles like Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Fable, Black Ops 6, and plenty more games inch toward their eventual release dates. One presentation the excitement hasn't quite left me in full yet for is the entirety of the Blumhouse Games showcase, which introduced not one but six titles that are being developed by independent studios to be released under Blumhouse's venture into a new media form for them.

In particular I can't seem to get Perfect Garbage's Grave Seasons out of my mind, and I'm eager day by day for any additional information that may be announced about the game as time goes on. While the cozy farming simulator where it's definitely safe for your character and villagers to go outside at night and there's certainly not a murderer lurking in the darkness waiting to bury you and your friends in the fields is still in early development, Perfect Garbage has been introducing the villagers of Ashenridge to continue the buzz around the game.

Perfect Garbage previously introduced prospective players to the local florist Leilani and loyal farmhand Hari, and now they've released a video to allow people to get to know another villager - Noa. Per the short video, Noa lives by the docks and runs The Big Fish. Described as humble and hardworking, Noa is noted to intimidate people sometimes as he comes across "distant and untalkative." Underneath that harsh exterior (though come on...that long hair and comfortable sweater indicate there's a secret teddy bear in there somewhere) Noa apparently craves friendship and is trying to move on from a vicious past...one of the aspects that will almost certainly play into the mystery aspects of Grave Seasons.

Perfect Garbage also confirmed that Noa is "one of the bigger guys" in a reply to the video on X (formerly Twitter), and given that the other man we've met, Hari, is also fairly sizable, it's likely we'll get to meet some small kings in the future, though many players have already picked Noa for their future husband...regardless of whether or not he's the killer in their game.

In the eyes of many fans, Marvel Studios has become synonymous with San Diego Comic-Con, showing up at the annual event to announce new movies and television shows to great fanfare. The studio is already confirmed to be returning to the convention's iconic Hall H panel room, but as it turns out, that won't be the only panel Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige appears in. Based on a recent update to San Diego Comic-Con's panel schedule, Feige is confirmed to be appearing on Marvel Comics' "Marvel Fanfare" panel, which will occur in Room 6DE on Friday, July 26th. The panel will be a discussion between Feige, who also serves as the the CCO of all of Marvel, and Marvel Comics editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski.

What Is Marvel Bringing to San Diego Comic-Con 2024?

With the trailers for Marvel's next theatrical and Disney+ releases, Captain America: Brave New World and Agatha All Along, dropping earlier this week, there's no telling what else they might bring to their presentation. Other projects that are on the horizon and have begun filming include Thunderbolts*, Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, and Wonder Man. The studio's highly-anticipated reboot of The Fantastic Four is scheduled to begin production in the days after San Diego Comic-Con.

"Our director, Matt Shakman has already moved to London, and we start filming at the end of July," Feige revealed in an interview last month. "Funny story, we start shooting the Monday after Comic-Con. We start filming the day after on The Fantastic Four. I'm extremely excited, because those characters are mainstays, are legendary pillars of the Marvel Universe that we've never gotten to play with or explore in any significant way apart from [Doctor Strange in the] Multiverse of Madness and a few fun teases before, in the way we're doing that film. So, I'm extremely excited."

GreedFall 2: The Dying World is still at least several months out from its full release slated for some time in 2025, but now that we're in the back half of 2024 the developers creating the game are ready to push forward into the next major stage of development - Early Access. The developers, Spiders, have unveiled a new video to not only showcase an additional look at the upcoming game, but also confirm the Steam Early Access launch date for September 24th, meaning the wait to experience the continuation of the RPG series is only a little over two months away now.

Last month Spiders released Community Update #1 for GreedFall 2 on the game's official Steam page to outline what early access will look like for the upcoming RPG, with the majority of the post focused on the changes to the game's combat system, which has thus far been met with some trepidation from fans. Regarding these changes, Spiders states they are "well aware that we will need your feedback if we are to make this new combat gameplay the most satisfying experience possible and not a blocking factor to your enjoyment of the game."

"We want the game experience to be pleasant, fun and accessible for everyone - be it for the seasoned tactical RPG players, newcomers to the genre, or those who simply wish to enjoy other aspects of the game that are more important to them, such as exploring the world, following the story, etc.," the post continues, communicating that Spiders goals in carrying out early access would be to ensure they're listening to GreedFall 2's players.

The early access post also notes some additional features that won't be implemented immediately upon launch, including difficulty sliders, choice of character outline colors, visual cues, and numerous other QoL (Quality of Life) options. Spiders notes that "Overall, the early access will be a way for us to add, improve and balance all the game content, and we are excited to be able to do it all with you, so that you can discover everything that the universe of GreedFall has to offer."

In the Steam Early Access release announcement Spiders notes that additional information on GreedFall 2 can be expected soon, with a new gameplay video due to be unveiled sometime in August and a Community Livestream to be hosted in September before the early access launch, where Spiders promises to reveal exciting new information and an updated Road Map.

DIY was finally able to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships on last week's SmackDown, taking down A-Town Down Under and creating an unforgettable moment in the process. For Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, the loss stung a bit more as Waller accidentally attacked Theory at several points in the match, but they were intent on getting those Titles back during tonight's episode of SmackDown. DIY wasn't about to let those go without a fight, and they came out swinging, absorbing a few comeback attempts along the way. Once again though Waller ended up hitting Theory, which would lead to Waller getting pinned and the Champions retaining. Unfortunately, they would then get attacked by The Bloodline to close out their big win.

Championship Rematch

The Champs hit a double drop kick and then Ciampa hit a knee strike and Gargano dove through the ropes, but Theory dodged it and Gargano hit the floor. Waller then threw Ciampa into the ring post, while Theory threw Gargano into the barricade. Waller then slammed Ciampa onto the ring apron and the challengers were now handily in control. Back from break, Gargano was able to get to his feet and get the hot tag from Ciampa, and he subsequently went on a frenzy in the ring, slamming down Waller and Theory before holding off Waller and spearing Theory.

Gargano went for the cover but Theory kicked out and Ciampa tagged in. Ciampa and Theory traded strikes but then Waller jumped into the ring and knocked Ciampa down into a roll-up by Theory, but Ciampa kicked out. Waller tagged in and the two set up for a Meet Me In The Middle, but Ciampa evaded the attack. Then Waller took out Theory again, hitting him with a knee strike and setting himself up for the Shatter Machine and a Meeting in the Middle, and that got them the win.

Crashing the Party

While DIY celebrated the win, Waller and Theory would start to argue at ringside, with Theory clearly frustrated about Waller's repeated attacks on him during their past few matches. All of a sudden their argument was interrupted by The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu, who came in like a freight train and knocked over both Waller and Theory to the floor. Fatu then threw them aside and headed in the ring, where he collided with Gargano and slammed his head into the turnbuckle before hitting a slick move off the top rope that left Gargano reeling.

Ciampa then jumped in and got the best of Fatu for a second, where he even hit Fatu with a DDT. Sadly Fatu never went down from the move, shocking Ciampa as the Bloodline's newest recruit jumped back to his feet. Fatu then attacked Ciampa and left both members of DIY on the mat. This was in preparation for The Bloodline's next segment against Cody Rhodes, but it was also a sign that Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Solo Sikoa are likely coming after those Tag Titles sooner rather than later.

WWE SmackDown ended on an emotionally charged note as The Bloodline attacked the current WWE Tag Team Champions, DIY, and continued their assault into the final segment of the night when Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appeared to confront the group. Solo Sikoa has been hellbent on making the entire world acknowledge him as the leader of the group, but Rhodes wasn't going to let that happen. He gets straight to his point: he's out there because he wants to finish this Bloodline business once and for all. While he would prefer to end it right then and there, that isn't possible so instead he lays out a challenge to the group's new leader at WWE SummerSlam.

Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Sikoa and Jacob Fatu swarm the ring and attack the champion who appears helpless in the assault. He's not alone for long, though, as "The Viper" tries to even the odds for his friend. Earlier in the night, Randy Orton was speaking to Rhodes backstage and insisted that he'd help him finish things up with The Bloodline and that when the locker room comes for his title he'll have his back then too. It's still just too overwhelming for both of them as they get punched, kicked, speared, thrown through the announce table and spiked around ringside.

The Bloodline ends the night standing tall over the champion and future WWE Hall of Famer, but how much longer does Sikoa have left as the leader of The Bloodline? With Paul Heyman out of the picture from an assault on him, Roman Reigns has to be nearby waiting in the wings to come take his spot at the head of the table back. Whether or not he'll appear at SummerSlam will be determined during the show, but considering it's the last major event of the year aside from Survivor Series, if he's going to return in 2024, SummerSlam would be the perfect time. Reigns hasn't been seen since his title loss at WrestleMania 40 against Rhodes. Instead of being booed, fans are chanting his name, wishing for a return so he can put a stop to his family's tirade.

It appears WWE may also be building to an eventual second Bloodline Civil War match between the two generations which could definitely be a WarGames scenario at Survivor Series. That would then leave things pretty open for Reigns heading into WrestleMania 41 next year against The Rock, provided he's ready to return.

Joonas Suotamo first joined Star Wars when he took over the role of Chewbacca from Peter Mayhew, and now he's back as a brand new Wookiee: Kelnacca. Fans were thrilled when they first learned about the new character because it marked the first time a Wookiee was also a Jedi in a live-action Star Wars project. Sadly, Kelnacca died in the show's fourth episode without ever seeing any action. However, the most recent episode of the series, "Choice," was a flashback to the events of Brendok that featured a great Kelnacca scene. The Wookiee was mind-controlled by the witches and forced to fight his fellow Jedi. After the episode dropped, many fans took to social media to celebrate Kelnacca's big moment.

"This duel from the latest episode of The Acolyte was seriously so great," @jtimsuggs tweeted. "The choreography in this show has been nothing short of spectacular, and finally seeing Kelnacca in action was as entertaining as it was terrifying."

"Seeing a Wookiee Jedi go ham in live-action has gotta be a top 10 Star Wars moment of the decade," @TheSWU wrote. "Wookie Jedi fight was such a delight," @ArmandDoma added.

"My fave part of Acolyte Episode 7 is seeing a Wookie Jedi use a lightsaber in a good fight, first time in 47 years! They have strength and saber / Force skills, much better than weakling humans. Now I want to see the entire SW franchise with Wookie leads instead!" @kevinwinston praised.

Leslye Headland Explains Kelnacca's Big Fight Scene:

ComicBook recently had the chance to join a press roundtable with The Acolyte creator, Leslye Headland, and we asked what went into the choreography of the fight considering they had to balance Kelnacca's Wookiee strength with his Jedi skills all while being mind-controlled.

"Wookiees are not obviously against antagonists ... They can be very aggressive, but they have this honor code specifically about extending their claws, which they don't do for anything except climbing," Headland explained. "So what we talked about was that when he was under this particular influence, not only would he be so aggressive against his friends and ostensibly the heroes of the story in a way that felt pretty vicious and unlike his own personality, but that also he would unknowingly make this horrible, horrendous choice that he would never make in under his own will. He would never have done so."

"I guess technically he would get a pass for that, but I don't think he gives himself a pass for it," she continued. "But the fight was incredible. I mean, that was all Kogonada who directed the episode, Chris Cowan, my action choreographer, and also the second unit director, the actors. Joonas is the only person who fits in the suit. So he did all of his own stunts in fighting. JJ did almost all of his own stunts in fighting. My only contribution to it was the one time when Sol is grabbing his arm and saying his name. I just thought it felt like Sol would try to get through to him emotionally, not just fight him."

The season finale of Star Wars: The Acolyte drops on Disney+ on July 16th.
